Our Essence

Have you ever wondered how Super Ranila cold-pressed oils are made?

We use wooden machines to extract oil unlike many who use iron machines. These wooden machines are used to extract all kinds of oils from Groundnut (Peanut), Black Sesame seeds (Gingelly), White Sesame seeds (Gingelly), Coconut (Copra), Mustard seeds and Sunflower seeds. During this process, the seeds are crushed under pressure which causes the temperature to rise. The temperature during the extraction process of oil plays a very important role in the quality of the oil being produced. The lower the extraction temperatures the better the quality of oil being produced. In iron machinery, the temperature can go up to 90°C, hence the quality of the oil is compromised and is not good. In our case, we use wooden machines where the temperature does not rise beyond 49°C hence they are classified as Truly Cold Pressed Oils. We operate our machines at about 12-15 revolutions per minute (RPM) to maintain the extraction temperatures below 49°C. Lower extraction temperature ensures the retention of the goodness and essential nutrients of the seeds in the oils.
